Jazz fans in Colorado, you won’t want to miss this! 3 full days of jazz festivities, with an amazing line-up including Irna Thomas, Gogo Penguin and more!

Palisade Peach Fest – Palisade, Colorado
August 16th-19th

Mmm, peaches! Enjoy all your favorite festival activities, plus peach-themed ones, like a peach parade and a peach eating contest!

Mushroom & Wine Festival – Durango, Colorado
August 10th-11th

Mushrooms and wine might seem like a strange combination for a festival, but it looks like it’s going to be a fun and delicious time! Dine on their VIP Friday dinner, or learn how to forage – it’s up to you!

Steers & Beers Brewfest – Colorado Springs, Colorado
August 18th

If you’re a fan of beer or whiskey, this is the event for you – there will be over 100 to choose from! Plus live music, a mechanical bull and more!

Colorado State Fair – Pueblo, Colorado
August 24th-September 3rd

The Colorado State Fair has it all – concerts, a carnival and more. Plus, it runs for over a week, so it’s easy to fit into your schedule!

5 Events in Colorado You Won’t Want To Miss (June 2018)

Welcome to June in Colorado – a month filled with balloon festivals, music festivals, food festivals… basically, any festival you can imagine! We’ve picked out some favorites – we hope you enjoy!

Telluride Balloon Festival – Telluride, Colorado
June 1-3

It’s not the biggest balloon festival in the world, but it’s a ton of fun. Balloons launch at sunrise on Saturday and Sunday and bystanders often get to help with the launch! On Saturday night, balloons line main street and put on a show.

Creatures of Light Exhibit, Denver Museum of Nature & Science – Denver, Colorado
Through June 10th

Experience a series of luminous environments, ranging from a nighttime meadow in eastern North America where fireflies glow, to an interactive Puerto Rican lagoon lit up by luminescent plankton. Who knew a science exhibit could be so romantic?

Country Jam Music Fest – Grand Junction, Colorado
June 14th-17th

Experience country music in a beautiful setting at this music festival, featuring performers like Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, and Brett Eldredge.

8th Annual Bacon & Bourbon Festival – Keystone, Colorado
June 23rd & 24th

Celebrate all things bacon & bourbon at this festival! This event has everything, ranging from bacon eating contests to bacon samples to educational lectures. They’ll even be crowning a bacon prince and princess!

Telluride Wine Festival – Telluride, Colorado
June 28th – July 1st

Who doesn’t love a wine festival in the summertime? Attend wine seminars, learn how to mix unique cocktails, and try some wine and food pairings. One of our favorite aspects of this festival is that they’ll be having a non-alcoholic beer and unique soda tasting for designated drivers or those who don’t want to over imbibe.

Colorado Railroad Museum – Golden, CO

If you or your partner love trains, you will absolutely not want to miss out on this fun museum! It spans a 15-acre railyard and features over 100 locomotives, passenger cars and more. Even if you or your partner aren’t directly train fanatics, their gift shop is still worth a visit – you can find a gift for the person in your life who loves trains!

Denver Art Museum – Denver, CO

Honestly, even if you don’t have a chance to stop in this museum, you’ll want to at least pass by it to see the building – it’s a work of art in itself. The museum boasts 9 curatorial departments, ranging from Architecture, to Photography, to Textile Art and Fashion, so there’s truly something for every art lover.

Fort Collins Museum of Discovery – Fort Collins, CO

If you’re the kind of couple who likes interactive museums, this museums is a must-see. It combines interactive and artifact exhibits to ensure you have a memorable experience. Learn about the ecosystem near Fort Collins and meet black-footed ferrets or play instruments at the Music and Sound Lab. What you do is up to you!

Littleton Museum – Littleton, CO

Living history museums can be an exciting way to spend a day with your partner. They tend to be dynamic, interactive experiences. The Littleton Museum is an excellent example of this! Plus, when you visit you actually get to experience two living history farm sites – one is an 1860s homestead farm and the other is an 1890s urban farm.

Ouray Alchemist Musueum – Ouray, CO

We are huge fans of unique museums and other date night venues, so it should come as no surprise that this museum of alchemy caught our eye! This museum, built in 2010, is a recreation of a Wild West Pharmacy. Note that tours must be booked in advance, so this can’t be a spontaneous visit. However, it’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to plan it out!
